Helen holds a BSc Hons degree in Human Relations, having specialised in Industrial Psychology and Sociology. She has 39 years extensive experience of research objectives and clients' requirements allied to personal experience of the interviewer role.
Helen has worked in the Market Research Department of Nestle UK
and for a number of Market Research Agencies. She was an independent
Qualitative Research Consultant for 15 years, before joining
Westcombe Business Research Limited in 1985 where she furthered her
career in B2B fieldwork and as Research Director was responsible for
the co-ordination, management and control of all projects.
Together with the other partners Helen set up Wanford Fieldwork Partnership in 2007 and brings valuable knowledge to the management and quality of all aspects of work commissioned.
Helen is a full member of the Market Research Society, a member of the AQR and Business Intelligence Group (BIG) Group. She was the key player in the formation of the latter and has had roles as Chairman, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.
Chrissie has worked in Market Research for 11 years. She joined
Westcombe as an interviewer and soon became a project manager. Previously she was employed in the electronics industry for more
than 10 years where she specialised in sales, marketing and
electronic design for the MOD and other defence organisations. Also,
during that time she achieved one of her goals to become a BS 9000
Internal Quality Auditor, which she still practises today throughout
the company.
Prior to this Chrissie obtained her SRN and spent over 8 years in nursing, specialising in orthopaedics and accident & emergency in NHS hospitals.
Chrissie's core competence is in managing medical, pharmaceutical and electronic projects but she has extended her skills to a number of other areas, including finance, business services and law.
Glenda has worked in Market Research for 13 years. She started as
a bi-lingual interviewer at Westcombe Business Research and
progressed to Field Director where she was responsible for
fieldwork, interviewer training and scheduling, quota control and
sample monitoring.
Glenda brings with her an extensive knowledge of the Italian language, culture and cuisine, having lived and worked in Italy for 20 years. Whilst there, she was engaged in legal translation work and working with foreign investors on property management.
Jayne has over 28 years experience as a Market Research Specification Writer. She started her career at Taylor Nelson before moving to the data processing bureau Digitab where she spent 15 years and became responsible for a team of spec writers and client liaison. In 1995 she moved to take up a post as DP Manager at City Research.
In 1999 she set up her own DP company Sunrise Tabulations and
developed her own client base such as VAR International, Hawthornes
Business Research and grew to know the other partners when she
supplied DP services to Westcombe.
Jayne provides a wealth of DP knowledge, and is well placed to advise clients about data processing issues and requirements. She is also appreciated for being able to simplify and explain some of the mystique surrounding DP.
